The summer’s second escorted tour of one of Southwest Light Rail Transit’s (SWLRT) largest construction zones, the bus/LRT station itself and the train bridge over Prairie Center Drive, is now taking reservations.
The free tour is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 28.

The two-hour, escorted tour begins on the first floor of the SouthWest Transit parking ramp at the entrance to the temporary bus station on Technology Drive.
Park in the ramp, follow the signs to the entry of the temporary bus station to meet your SWLRT construction guides.
Minnetonka Bridges and Walls Tour
Minnetonka SWLRT sites are also slated for a Saturday, Aug. 28, tour.
This two-hour trek begins at noon near the SWLRT Feltl Bypass Road on the north side of Opus Park.
Park along the road or in the construction parking lot. You’ll get an up-close look at the large retaining walls along Opus Hill and current construction work on Smetana, Feltl, and Minnetonka-Hopkins bridges. The tour is free. Click here to reserve a place.
