Little Berry on the Prairie — Eden Prairie Liquor’s new city-branded THC gummy — arrived on store shelves Nov. 22 at all three municipal liquor locations.
The city first announced the product in July and invited residents to submit name ideas. More than 800 suggestions came in, ultimately leading to the choice of “Little Berry on the Prairie,” a nod to both Eden Prairie and the gummy’s mixed-berry flavor.
Residents 21 or older can buy the gummies for $16.99 per package.
Jaime Urbina, the city’s liquor operations manager, said the response to the gummies has been positive, and sales have increased since the city sent out a press release about them on Tuesday.
“To date, we have sold more than five cases (53 packs),” Urbina said in an email to Eden Prairie Local News.
The gummies are manufactured by Emerald Elements, which began production and packaging after the name and logo were finalized.
Each gummy is intended as a sleep aid and contains 5 milligrams of THC and 30 milligrams of CBN, a cannabis compound believed to promote sleep. Each package contains 10 gummies.
Eden Prairie is the first city in Minnesota to produce its own THC product through its municipally owned liquor operation.
