A Roseville woman is accused of assaulting two Eden Prairie police officers during a disturbance at a movie theater on Nov. 16, according to a felony complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court.
June Beverly Gee, 30, is charged with one felony count of fourth-degree assault of a peace officer. She is accused of biting one officer’s hand — the officer was wearing a glove — and kicking another officer in the jaw, causing a concussion, while they attempted to arrest her, the complaint states.
Police were called to AMC Eden Prairie Mall 18 at 11:14 p.m. after Gee allegedly created a disturbance with an employee who would not provide an extra container because of store policy. A theater manager told her she needed to leave, and Gee refused, telling him to call police, according to the complaint.
When officers arrived and instructed Gee to leave, she again refused and told them they would “have to drag her out,” the complaint states. Officers told her she was under arrest.
As officers attempted to detain her, Gee allegedly tensed up and physically resisted. In addition to biting and kicking officers, she also allegedly threatened to kill officers and responding EMS personnel.
A judge issued a warrant for Gee’s arrest on Nov. 17. According to court records, she posted $20,000 bail without conditions on Nov. 18.
A procedural hearing was held Nov. 25, and her first appearance is scheduled for Nov. 26 in Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis.
