The Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools (FEPS) is accepting applications for its Community Partnership Grants and Teacher and Staff Grants through 5 p.m. Oct. 31.
To apply for a grant, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or an Eden Prairie Schools teacher or staff member, according to a FEPS news release sent to Eden Prairie Local News on Monday. Grants range from $1,000 to $5,000.
“Our goal is to fund programs that reach Eden Prairie students of all ages and ensure we support 21st-century learning and serve underrepresented populations,” FEPS Executive Director Lisa Sisinni said.
Examples of previous grants include funding kindergarten readiness programs, providing multicultural books for classrooms and libraries, and supplying equipment for technology education curriculum.
According to the news release, grant proposals should:
- Have a significant positive impact on student academic achievement and engagement, especially among underrepresented populations.
- Impact a large number of students and/or have a lasting effect on a smaller group of students.
- Be inspiring and visible.
- Be tied to a specific learning goal, curriculum, or school program.
- Be potentially duplicatable by other classrooms or sites.
- Be consistent with both the foundation’s mission and the district’s strategic plan.
Grant applications are available online. Nonprofit organizations can apply using this form, while Eden Prairie Schools teachers and staff can apply here.
