Eden Prairie boys basketball junior guard Carter Pulrang scored 27 points to lead the Eagles to an 84-64 road win over Shakopee on Tuesday night.
Pulrang was hot early, hitting six 3-pointers in the first half as the Eagles built a 45-34 halftime lead and never trailed.
“It’s a team effort,” Pulrang said. “My teammates kept getting me the ball and I kept hitting.”

Senior forward Cooper Fahning added 18 points, and senior guard Hamze Yusuf contributed 17 in the balanced attack.

The win improved Eden Prairie to 3-0 after earlier victories over Minneapolis Washburn and St. Louis Park.
“I am proud of how hard our guys played, how unselfish, and how relentless they were,” third-year head coach Zander Culver said.
The Eagles visit Robbinsdale Armstrong on Friday, then travel to Waconia on Dec. 16 and Chaska on Dec. 19.
“We have three tough games coming up, all on the road,” Culver said. “All three of these teams are playing really good basketball right now, so they will be competitive games.”
The Waconia and Chaska matchups carry extra weight as section opponents with playoff implications.
