Robotics team hosts Robots and Rotini fundraiser

Talon Robotics recently hosted the team’s largest annual fundraiser, Robots and Rotini, on Nov. 9 at Eden Prairie High School. Held in the high school’s South Commons, the event featured a large pasta dinner, robots, a silent auction and family activities, including button-making and Lego.

This year’s event included a demonstration of the team’s robot Lefty, designed to play the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition game Reefscape. The game requires team robots to remove artificial algae from and place artificial coral on a playing surface designated as a reef for the purposes of the game.

The Eden Prairie Talon Robotics program has two levels: FIRST Tech Challenge for grades 7-8 and FIRST Robotics Competition for grades 9-12. Upcoming team events are listed on Instagram @frc_2502 and on the Talon Robotics team website.
