Eden Prairie High School’s (EPHS) Class of 2026 graduation is scheduled for 3 p.m. June 6 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, according to an email announcement sent Tuesday by Principal Jaysen Anderson and Valley View Campus Principal Nicholas Kremer.
Anderson and Kremer said the stadium and the June 6 timeslot were chosen because they meet many of the district’s needs for the ceremony — including easier travel for out-of-town guests and reduced traffic for people in the Twin Cities area.
“The location is large enough to accommodate our desired number of guests; has high-quality audio/visual capabilities; is accessible via public transit; has plenty of parking; and is a world-class venue. It also has strict security procedures,” the email said.
The email also lists the district’s successful experience with the venue last year for the Class of 2025 as a factor in their decision.
All Class of 2026 graduates will be required to attend a graduation rehearsal before the ceremony takes place at U.S. Bank Stadium. Busing will be provided for students, and more information will be given at senior meetings in the next few months.
EPHS’ graduation ceremony will be a ticketed event. Families can expect more information this spring about how many tickets each student will receive and how to reserve them.
