Fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders with ideas to improve their communities are invited to enter the League of Minnesota Cities’ “Mayor for a Day” essay contest.
Students are asked to write a 125- to 300-word essay answering the question: What would you do if you were mayor for a day?
Three winners will each receive a $100 cash prize, and their essays will be published in Minnesota Cities magazine.
Entries can be submitted online, by mail, or by email to mayorforaday@lmc.org. The submission deadline is Friday, Dec. 12. Winners will be notified in early January.
