Two members of Eden Prairie Schools’ facilities team earned awards from the Minnesota Educational Facilities Management Professionals Association (MASMS) at the organization’s annual conference on Oct. 2.
MASMS represents more than 700 individuals who work in facilities, grounds, and health and safety operations for Minnesota K-12 schools and higher education institutions, according to the association’s website.
Kyle Fisher, the district’s director of facilities, safety and grounds, was named the 2025 Facilities Management Professional of the Year – the highest honor given by MASMS each year – after being nominated by Andrew Adams, the district’s executive director of business services. As part of the award, a $1,000 scholarship in Fisher’s name will be given to EP Schools.
“Each year MASMS awards their highest honor to a member who exhibits professionalism, leadership and service in their career and life,” the MASMS statement reads. “This award is in recognition of Mr. Fisher’s contributions to MASMS, his school district, his community and his profession.”
MASMS also awarded Seth Hamm, maintenance operations coordinator at Eden Prairie High School, the 2025 Outstanding Educational Contributor Award at the conference. The honor is given to individuals who demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to the educational facilities management field.

“It is a privilege working with both of these leaders each day. They deserve these recognitions for their continued contributions to our success,” Adams said in an email statement. “Our entire facilities team does a great job keeping our buildings in top shape for learning, forming connections with students, and going above and beyond to support our staff and students with facilities needs.”
