It is with breaking hearts and profound sadness that we share Berit Ann Swanberg, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 26, 2025.
Berit was born at Fairview Southdale Hospital Oct. 1, 1984. Berit grew up in Eden Prairie and graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 2003. Berit was very active in sports and music and was a member of the EP Drumline.

Berit graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in social sciences and journalism. Berit had many academic achievements.
Berit started her professional career at Twin Cities Spine Center (TCSC), Abbott Northwestern Hospital, in Minneapolis in June of 2008 and was presently a clinical research coordinator working very closely with the TSSC Fellowship program. Berit was co-author on several published studies.
Berit loved to travel and planned many trips with her family and friends. Her travels included South America, Greece, Italy, Iceland, Mexico, Canada and Thailand and from California to Florida and the Keys. Norway was her next destination.
Berit loved the outdoor sports also, including trips to Whistler, Lake Tahoe, Breckenridge and Vail. She shared these trips with her brother Johny. She enjoyed spending long weekends with her loved family at the cabin in Nevis, Minnesota.
Berit is survived by her parents, John and Randi Swanberg, brother John Carl Swanberg, her loving and loyal Yorkie-poo Friday, uncle Nolan Holo, David and Linda Swanberg, Linda Swanberg Guille, Thomas and Lin Swanberg, godparents Ron and Nancy Gallas. Berit is also survived by her many, many cousins and countless dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Morris and Helen Holo and Carl and Doris Swanberg, and by her cousin, Thomas Swanberg Jr. We will miss her beautiful smile and her beautiful soul forever.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, in Eden Prairie. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, with a luncheon to follow.
