The Stars of the North chapter of Women in Aviation International hosted its 11th annual Girls in Aviation Day at Flying Cloud Airport on Saturday, Sept. 20.
While open to the entire community, the event is focused on girls ages 8 to 17 with an interest in aviation.
Hosted this year at InFlight Aviation, one of four flight schools at Flying Cloud Airport, the event included aircraft displays, exhibitor booths, STEM and hands-on activities, opportunities to meet and speak with pilots and industry professionals, and a Rising Stars program that offered exclusive aircraft tours to female students entering grades 9 through 12.

Stars of the North, which has more than 250 members according to its website, runs the Girls in Aviation Day event with 200 volunteers, including college students. Kelli Yue, the organization’s vice president, anticipated an attendance of about 3,000 guests for the 2025 Girls in Aviation Day.
