Colin Schild
Eden Prairie High School has hired Colin Schild as its next head girls golf coach, the school announced Friday.
Colin Schild
Schild, a former St. Olaf College four-year varsity golfer, brings more than a decade of coaching experience. He previously served as Eden Prairie’s junior varsity girls golf coach from 2017 to 2021 and also worked with junior golfers nationwide as an instructor and assistant director at U.S. Golf Camps in Pennsylvania.
In addition to coaching, Schild will teach math at Eden Prairie High School and Eden Prairie Online.
“I’m excited to return to Eden Prairie and work with such a talented group of athletes,” Schild said in a statement. “I want to help our players compete with confidence, improve their skills, and continue to enjoy the game of golf.”
Activities Director Joe Perkl praised Schild’s leadership. “His analytical approach, patient leadership, and calming presence on the course will bring the continuity and stability our program needs to thrive,” Perkl said.
Schild said he hopes to build on the team’s tradition of athletic excellence and community while encouraging both competitive success and a lifelong love of the game.
