Road construction on Pioneer Trail begins June 11

A Hennepin County road project will impact Pioneer Trail in Eden Prairie between Shetland Road and just east of Braxton Drive, beginning Wednesday, June 11.

The first phase of the project is a replacement of curbs and gutters on Pioneer Trail, also known as County Road 1. Crews will also widen lanes and patch pavement. This work is scheduled to last through Friday, June 20. Expect single-lane closures in each direction.

Beginning Monday, June 23, a second phase of the project will resurface Pioneer Trail in the same area. This work will is projected to last through Friday, June 27. Crews will resurface one side of the road at a time, and there will be flaggers or a pilot car to direct traffic through the project area.

The projected dates are weather-dependent and subject to change.
