Lane closures originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, on Highway 101 in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen have been postponed due to rain, according to a Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) news release.
A new date has not yet been announced for the work, which will involve lane closures on Highway 101 and temporary closures of an adjacent pathway while crews complete additional trail work near Purgatory Creek and Twilight Trail.
MnDOT reminds drivers to plan ahead, check 511mn.org, and allow extra time for travel.
The Highway 101 project – which began in June 2024 – includes resurfacing the road between Highway 5 in Chanhassen and County Road 62/Townline Road in Eden Prairie. Crews will also reconstruct the trail on the west side, install overhead pedestrian signals at Twilight Trail and Valley View Road, repair drainage issues at Purgatory Creek, and build accessible pedestrian crossings and curb ramps.
The project is expected to be completed later this month. All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.
