Reach for Resources commemorates its 40th anniversary this year. The organization, founded in February 1985, provides mental health support and services, therapy and resources to people with disabilities throughout Minnesota, with the majority living in the seven-county metro area.
Over the past 40 years, Reach for Resources has expanded its services to offer recreation programs, additional mental health support and personalized resources. Trail by Reach provides transportation for adults with developmental disabilities living in Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Edina, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park and Richfield to recreation, leisure and educational programs offered by Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange and also by Reach.
“Celebrating 40 years of Reach is about honoring the incredible people who have shaped our journey,” said Kate Bottiger, executive director of Reach. “It’s a moment to reflect on the challenges we’ve overcome, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the lives we’ve had the privilege to support. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey, and we’re looking ahead to an even brighter future.”
Throughout the year, Reach for Resources will host a series of events and initiatives to commemorate the anniversary.
