The Eden Prairie Senior Center commemorated Veterans Day earlier this month by hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Nov. 8.
Guest speaker Capt. Matt Partyka, recently retired from the U.S. Army, addressed approximately 70 senior guests, sharing insights about his career, family, and life. During his speech, Partyka acknowledged each branch of the service by calling them out and asking members of that branch to stand or raise their hand to be recognized.
Sponsoring organizations SouthWest Transit, Spark, Home Instead, Comfort Keepers, Cloud 9 Car Wash and Hear Today contributed financially to the event, as well as providing volunteers.
