Beth Beutell (Bairstow) passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Feb. 3, 2024, at the age of 66. She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.

Born in Chicago on Sept. 3, 1957, to Raymond and Joan Bairstow, Beth grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. In her teen years, she was crowned Miss Healthy Smile of Florida, and volunteered to teach children proper dental care. Her spirit of service took many forms throughout her life, but always reflected a commitment to better her community and the people around her.
After graduating from Jacksonville University, she met her husband, Tim Beutell. The couple married in 1979, embarking on a life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering partnership. Beth and Tim started their family in Phoenix in 1986 with the arrival of their daughter Jackie. In 1990, Beth and Tim moved to Minnesota, where they had their son Brett.
Beth worked full-time, volunteered regularly, and was always there for her family. She put her whole heart into everything she did. Her career in the hotel industry, and later in corporate event management, showcased her incredible hospitality and her natural ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.
Beth is survived by her loving husband Tim Beutell, daughter Jackie, son Brett, her beloved grand-dog Lua, sisters Lynne and Myra, mother Joan Bairstow, nephews Alexander and Hal-Finney, and many Chicagoan relatives whom she adored. Her legacy is one of love, hospitality, and an exceptional ability to connect the people in her life.
If your life was ever touched by Beth (or if one of her thank-you notes ever made its way to you), the Beutell family invites you to gather in celebration of her life. Visitation will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, on February 15 at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. Services will also be streamed and recorded online. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice in honor of Beth, to continue her legacy of kindness and giving.
Beth’s spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Let us come together to honor the remarkable life of Beth Beutell, a woman who infused wonder and beauty into every corner of our lives.
